DaNean serves as the Virtual Pastor and Ministry Administrator at South Bay Community Church, where she supports the church’s ministries and departments, helps coordinate Sunday worship services, and serves as the Department Manager overseeing AV & Production.

As Virtual Pastor, DaNean provides pastoral care and leadership for SBCC’s online church community and oversees the online ministry and ministry team. Her heart is to cultivate a unified church experience where those who worship online are not simply viewers, but fully connected members of the South Bay family. Through intentional opportunities for worship, prayer, discipleship, fellowship, pastoral care, and participation in the life of the church, she works to help bridge the distance between the online and in-person congregation and create meaningful pathways for belonging and spiritual growth.

DaNean brings more than 30 years of leadership experience in church ministry, serving in a variety of roles including worship leader, choir director, Bible teacher, intercessory prayer leader, evangelist, and speaker. She also brings over 25 years of experience in theater and production, blending creativity, leadership, and ministry in ways that help create meaningful spaces for people to encounter God and grow in their faith.

She also leads Engrafted, a women’s Bible study rooted in her love for Scripture and her desire to stir people toward a deeper walk with God, and serves as a leader within SBCC’s Creative Arts Ministry.

At the heart of DaNean’s ministry is a genuine love for God, His people, and the Church. She finds great joy in serving others and helping create spaces where people can encounter God, become grounded in His Word, discover who He has created them to be, and grow in authentic community. For DaNean, ministry is not simply a role—it is a privilege to serve the body of Christ and help strengthen the life of the Church.

Alginita (Nita) Owens has been serving in missions leadership at South Bay for nearly 10 years and officially accepted her role in 2021.

Harry Cox has been serving in various part-time ministry positions since 2000. He received his Certificate of License to preach the gospel ministry in 2000, and was ordained as pastor in 2003. He earned a Master’s Degree in Business from Cal State East Bay and a Master’s Degree from Fuller Theological Seminary...
